Events

At the "Petru Maior" Faculty of Sciences and Letters, the editors of Acta Marisiensis. Philologia and the members of the Department of Sciences and Letters 1 are the organizers of the international conference:

European Integration between Tradition and Modernity

So far there have been seven editions, held in the autumn of 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017.

Among the participants are many prestigious personalities of the Romanian and international cultural landscape, academicians, university teachers and scientific researchers. Their contributions have created the premises of several debates focused on the contemporary concepts and views regarding the problem of identity in the European context, thus converging multidisciplinary perspectives on the contemporary cultural discourse.

The proceedings of the international conference are published electronically by the University Press Publishing House, in multilingual volumes.

The conference manages to create valuable connections between the members of the local academic community and those from other Romanian and European university centers.
