Removing Communication Barriers through Inclusive Audiovisual Translation. The AVTIA Project

Abstract:
The article offers an insight into the Erasmus+ project Audiovisual Translation for Inclusion and Accessibility (AVTIA). The project is rooted in a higher education cooperation partnership covering two years of creating and implementing content which contributes to the European desideratum of building an inclusive society by toning down or removing communication barriers in the audiovisual landscape, barriers which hinder specific communities from fully enjoying their right to equal access to media information, social and cultural life.
