The Seduction of Interpretation. Fragments on Mircea Zaciu's Criticism

Abstract:
Mircea Zaciu's critical approach is situated within the realm of literature, through which the hermeneutic impulse is transferred into the space of the literary project, through the temptation of impressionism tempered by rationality, through imagistic beauty, or through the noble refinement of the evocative word. There is a bewildering variety of textual strategies in these pages of criticism or essay, through which ideas are placed in a nuanced setting of exegesis, through the expressiveness of evocative portraits, in which affective drawing and elevated plasticity are dominant.
