Aspects of Coordination and Subordination within the Romanian Legal Discourse

Abstract:
In this article we analyze the specificity of syntactic relations of coordination and subordination in the legal discourse, inside a sentence and between sentences. We underline the symmetry of sentences, the rendering of circumstances in the most varied way, the preference for complex relation elements, and the specialization of expressing a clear structural relation through prepositional units. The coordination and subordination in the legal text contribute to clear, unambiguous, concise and coherent expression.
