Mihai Valentin Vladimirescu, Prof. PhD, University of Craiova

Abstract:
This article explores the process through which the literature of the ancient Near East became essential in defining and consolidating the religious and social structures of ancient communities. It investigates the importance of sacred texts within both oral and written traditions, emphasizing their role in legitimizing religious and political authorities. The study aims to clarify how these texts were transmitted and interpreted over time, contributing to the perpetuation of fundamental norms and values within society. Through an interdisciplinary analysis, the article offers an in-depth understanding of the formation and circulation process of these texts across various cultural traditions.
